Kippen Village Hall: A Community Hub
Kippen Village Hall is a versatile and recently refurbished facility, run entirely by volunteers for the benefit of the whole community. The hall serves as a central hub for local groups, providing a welcoming space for regular classes, activities, and gatherings.
In addition to its use by local organisations, the hall is also available for private hire, making it an ideal venue for a wide range of events, including private parties, fundraisers, ceilidhs, plays, weddings, music events, and more, subject to availability. Furthermore, the hall serves as the local council’s designated polling station during elections.
Facilities
The main hall is spacious and features markings for a badminton court, offering flexibility for sporting and recreational activities. Adjacent to the main hall is a small kitchen, suitable for preparing refreshments. The main hall also boasts a stage equipped with professional stage lighting, perfect for performances and presentations. Behind the stage, there is a smaller meeting room and a larger commercial kitchen, which includes an oven, hob, microwave, fridges, dishwasher, water boiler, soup kettles, and two coffee machines. Facilities also include male, female, and accessible toilets, complete with baby-changing amenities, as well as free Wi-Fi throughout the premises.
Community Use
Kippen Village Hall is used for an impressive range of activities, catering to everyone in the community—from babies and toddlers to the village’s oldest residents.
The hall has many regular weekly users who participate in classes and courses, and it is also available for hire for special occasions and one-off events. With a capacity of 120 seated guests or 150 for mixed seated and standing events, the hall can easily accommodate both intimate gatherings and larger celebrations.
Recent Refurbishments
The hall has recently undergone extensive refurbishments to enhance comfort, accessibility, and sustainability. Improvements include the installation of a Nest heating system, a new main floor, refurbished toilets and baby-changing facilities, a commercial kitchen refit, secondary glazing, energy-efficient LED lighting, UV blackout curtains, and comprehensive internal and external redecoration. Updated disability access provisions ensure the hall is welcoming and accessible to all members of the community.

Kippen Village Hall is celebrating another major milestone in its refurbishment – and this time it is literally paving the way for better access.
Family-owned Hillhouse Group has stepped in to provide its skills and services free of charge to improve the area immediately outside the Hall.
CPR Class – Great Success!
Twenty people benefited from the most recent CPR class run buy the Trossachs Search & Rescue team in September. They learned about basic life-saving actions and how to use a defibrillator.
The class also covered child life-saving and other simple assistance activities and what to do in emergencies. The worst thing anyone can do is nothing! So having the courage to step up and help is an essential part of all our lives.

123rd Flower Show Success
Kippen Village Flower Show took place last Saturday for the 123rd time.
The array of beautiful flowers and delicious vegetables was outstanding this year.
The village turned up yet again and many friends from around the area crowded the Hall to see the show and claim their cups and prizes… the tallest sunflower was amazing but the best in show went to the rhubarb and ginger gin!
It just goes to show it’s not all about giant marrows!
