Fifteen enthusiastic participants enjoyed a lively and inclusive Multi-Sports Session at Kippen Village Hall on Monday. With activities tailored for all abilities; from seated games to energetic indoor sports, the session combined movement, fun and friendship, creating a welcoming space for everyone to get involved.
A fantastic range of activities kept everyone engaged throughout the afternoon. Archery, indoor curling, indoor hockey and a variety of table-top games ensured there was something for everyone … whether they preferred to stay seated or get on their feet and move.
Coffee and tea breaks provided the perfect opportunity for plenty of chat and laughter, adding to the warm and sociable atmosphere that has quickly become a hallmark of the sessions.
A keen participant, Mark Armour, shared his experience:
“Everyone made very welcome — friendly group and lots of activities to try.”
Organiser Chris McKenna, Community Activation Officer (Active Stirling) highlighted the wider benefits of the initiative:
“The Kippen Multi Sport sessions are a terrific opportunity for us to utilise sport and physical activity as a means to bring about positive benefits for both individuals and the community. Thanks to the remarkable effort in renovating the Kippen Village Hall we have been able to develop the sessions to include people of all ages and abilities thanks to its welcoming and inclusive design. As a result, we are able to reduce barriers to activity through creating sessions that are easier to access, foster social connections, develop new skills and help participants feel healthier and happier.”
More participants are warmly welcomed to upcoming FREE Monday sessions in March on the 2nd, 9th and 16th. If you’d like to try a wide variety of indoor and table-top sports in a relaxed and friendly setting, come along and have a go!
