Community Grant Funds Enhance Comfort and Safety for local Groups with soft lights and safety first at the Village Hall!
Kippen Village Hall has undergone a series of upgrades to improve both the ambience and safety of its facilities. Thanks to a generous grant from the UK Shared Prosperity Fund, managed by Stirling Council, the hall now features a softer lighting scheme aimed at groups who prefer low lights and a quieter atmosphere.
In addition, a new fire door has been installed on the ground floor, ensuring enhanced safety and security for all visitors.
The lighting improvements include two long strings of warm white LED fairy lights, stretching almost the entire length of the hall on both sides. The switches for these lights are conveniently located near the main fuse box. This new set-up provides a gentler alternative to the main LED lighting system, creating a more relaxed environment for hall users.
Preparations for the festive season are also underway. An external socket has been installed at the front of the building, ready to power fairy lights for the Christmas tree. Plans are in place for banner wires and a dedicated hole for the tree itself, which can be safely sealed when not in use.
These small projects are expected to make a substantial difference, enhancing the facilities for a wider range of users. The management would like to extend its heartfelt thanks to Stirling Council for securing the funding for these valuable improvements at the year-end.
